Settings → System → Announcements

The Announcements tab manages the messages displayed to every user on the MisterShell home page. Use them to communicate planned maintenance, policy reminders, onboarding hints, or any other workspace-wide information.

What you can do

  • Create, edit, enable/disable, and delete messages.
  • Drag-reorder messages to control the order they appear on the home page.

Common tasks

Create a message

  1. Click Create Message at the top right.
  2. In the form, set:
    • Icon — pick an icon to display next to the title.
    • Title — short headline users see first.
    • Content (Markdown) — the message body, written in a full Markdown editor with a formatting toolbar. A live preview pane beside the form shows the message as users will see it.
    • Enabled — leave off while drafting; turn on to publish.
  3. Click Save.

Edit a message

  1. Click the edit icon on the row.
  2. Update any field.
  3. Click Save.

Enable or disable a message

Edit the message and toggle Enabled. Disabled messages are kept in the list but hidden from the home page. The badge on the list reflects the current state.

Re-order messages

  1. Grab the ⋮⋮ drag handle on the left of a message row.
  2. Drop at the new position.
  3. The new order saves automatically. Messages appear on the home page in this order.

Delete a message

  1. Click the red trash icon.
  2. Confirm in the dialog. Deleted messages cannot be recovered.
